Job summary

IDVERDE LIMITED in Barnsley is seeking an experienced Arborist Climber to join our team, performing tree care duties including removals, crown work and maintenance with a strong focus on safety and high‑quality workmanship.

This permanent role offers a 40‑hour week, Monday to Friday, at £16.50 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package and clear opportunities for career progression within the UK’s leading grounds maintenance provider.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as climbing arborist.
• Awareness of safety protocols to protect workers on site.
• Level 3 Maintenance (CS 30/CS 31), Level 3 Climb Trees and Perform Aerial Rescue (CS 38), Level 2 Operate a Chain Saw from a Rope and Harness (CS 39), Level 3 Aerial Tree Rigging (CS 41).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Eye for detail and willingness to learn.
• DBS check beneficial (within last 6 months) or obtainable by idverde.

• Carry out arboricultural operations including tree removals and crown work.
• Perform thinning, reductions, lifting and routine maintenance.
• Maintain safety for yourself and others, and care for equipment.

About the role

At idverde, we provide a range of Arboricultural Operations including tree removals, crown thinning/reductions/lifting, deadwooding and tree planting, as well as ongoing tree maintenance. We are now looking for a talented and experienced Arborist Climber, to join a new team in Barnsley.

Requirements

• Previous experience of working in a Climbing Arborist position.
• Awareness of safety protocols and procedures is critical to ensure the well-being of both the surveyor and others in the vicinity of trees being assessed.
• Relevant qualifications such as: Level 3 Maintenance (Formally CS 30 / CS 31), Level 3 Climb Trees and Perform Aerial Rescue (Formally CS 38), Level 2 Operate a Chain Saw from a Rope and Harness (Formally CS 39), Level 3 Aerial Tree Rigging (Formally CS 41).
• Full UK Driving License.
• Eye for detail and willingness to learn.
• A valid DBS, dated within the last 6 months, would be a huge benefit. But one can be obtained by idverde for the right person.
