Job summary

Thirteen Group is seeking an Arboriculture Technician to join our Estates team across the Tees Valley. You’ll care for trees on our estates, carrying out climbing, pruning, line clearing, crown reduction, planting and removal work, using specialist equipment with a strong emphasis on safety.

You must be experienced in arboriculture, hold CS30-CS48 certificates, have a full UK driving licence, and be comfortable working outdoors at height while following safe procedures and protecting wildlife.

Qualifications

• Significant arboriculture experience (tree climbing, pruning, line clearing, removal).
• CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39 and CS48 certifications are required.
• Full, manual UK driving licence; able to work outdoors and at height.

Responsibilities

• Care for trees across estates, including climbing, pruning, limb removal, line clearing, crown reduction, planting and removal work.
• Safely operate and maintain chainsaws, brush cutters, stump grinders and woodchippers.
• Perform on-site risk assessments and follow safe working practices with proper PPE.
• Deliver quality work within agreed timescales as part of year‑round maintenance.
• Address tree issues based on risk, protecting wildlife and nesting birds.
• Carry out tree work in line with legislation and protect property when necessary.
