Job summary

Thirteen Group seeks an Arboriculture Technician to maintain trees across estates in the Tees Valley. The role involves climbing, pruning, line clearing and removal, and operating specialist equipment in a safety-first environment.

You will work outdoors, assess risks on site, and ensure work complies with wildlife protections and local regulations. A full UK driving licence is required, and use of digital devices for recording work is expected.

Qualifications

• Significant arboriculture experience including climbing, pruning, line clearing and removal.
• CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39 and CS48 certifications.
• Comfortable working at height and outdoors.
• Commitment to safety and PPE use.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Comfortable using digital devices and field tech.

Responsibilities

• Care for trees across estates, including climbing, pruning, limb removal, line clearing, crown reduction, planting and removal work.
• Operate and maintain chainsaws, brush cutters, stump grinders and woodchippers.
• Carry out on-site risk assessments, safe working practices and correct PPE use.
• Deliver quality work within agreed timescales as part of the year-round maintenance programme.
• Help address tree issues according to risk and wildlife protection, including nesting birds.
• Carry out tree work in line with legislation, protecting wildlife.
