Job description

Architect | Residential, Mixed-Use, Workplace, Retrofit & Student Accommodation

An established architectural practice is looking to welcome an Architect to its team as several new projects move into design and delivery over the coming months. The studio is currently working across residential, mixed-use, workplace, retrofit and student accommodation sectors, with a healthy pipeline of work at a variety of RIBA stages. As a result, there is an opportunity for someone to gain broad project exposure rather than being confined to a single project type or stage.

They are particularly interested in speaking with Architects who are confident using Revit and have experience working within a UK practice. The role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with colleagues and consultants, and contributing to projects from design development through to delivery.

The Role

You’ll be involved in a range of projects across different sectors and stages, supporting project teams with design development, technical coordination and project delivery. The work will be varied, offering exposure to everything from residential-led developments and student accommodation schemes through to workplace projects and the refurbishment of existing buildings. The practice has a collaborative working culture, giving architects the opportunity to take on responsibility, contribute ideas and continue developing their technical and professional skills.

Requirements
  • ARB-registered Architect.
  • Experience working within a UK architectural practice.
  • Experience within one or more of the following sectors: residential, mixed-use, workplace, retrofit or student accommodation.
  • Strong technical, communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (Additional annual leave after long service.)
  • Christmas shutdown between Christmas and New Year.
  • Discretionary annual bonus, and additional Christmas bonus.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay.
  • ARB and RIBA subscriptions paid.
  • Season ticket loan scheme.
  • Pension scheme with employer contributions.
  • Structured training and professional development support.
  • Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 support.
  • Financial wellbeing support.
  • Monthly company breakfasts and studio-wide updates.
  • Regular social events throughout the year.
  • Laptop provided.
The Opportunity

This would suit an Architect looking for a practice where they can gain exposure to a range of sectors, work closely with experienced colleagues and become involved in projects at different stages of delivery. With several new schemes due to start over the next few months, it's an exciting time to join a team that continues to grow while maintaining a supportive and collaborative studio culture.
