Job summary

EG Group is recruiting an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join Cumberland Farms on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on ensuring a smooth end-to-end cash process and accurate posting to customer accounts, with mentoring and development opportunities within a global corporate group.

The position emphasizes a fast-paced finance environment, strong problem-solving, and meeting deadlines, while offering a discretionary bonus and hybrid working up to 2 days per week.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Accounts Receivable or related finance role.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Solid MS Office skills and ability to document financial information clearly.
• Good numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication for management level.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring the end-to-end cash process and investigating discrepancies.
• Daily importing of cash processing reports onto SAP.
• Communicating and documenting discrepancy and forgery reports.
• Posting debtor invoices, credit notes and allocating cash receipts to customer accounts.
• Monthly reconciliation of cash and card GLs with threshold write-offs and investigations.
• Posting ad hoc journals when appropriate.
• Monitoring missing sales, escalation and resolution.
• Uploading fuel and shop sales and investigating variances.
• Escalating issues promptly and appropriately.
• Monthly bank reconciliations and general administration.
