Job summary

Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council is seeking an Approved Mental Health Professional to join the Adult Mental Health Team in Tees Valley. You will safeguard rights and deliver lawful, ethical practice under the Mental Health Act while coordinating complex assessments and multi-agency care.

You will work with social workers, health partners and families to promote recovery, person-centred care and safe interventions, with hybrid working and generous annual leave on offer.

Qualifications

  • AMHP status and Social Work England registration required.
  • Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Care Act.
  • Experience in complex case management and multi-agency working.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and person-centred care.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake Mental Health Act assessments and coordinate admission applications.
  • Provide expert advice on mental health legislation and best practice.
  • Collaborate with individuals, families and multi-agency partners for safe interventions.

Job description

We're looking for a skilled and committed Approved Mental Health Professional to join our Adult Mental Health Team, working alongside social workers, social care officers, and health professionals to deliver safe, effective, and person-centred interventions.
