Job summary

Robert Hurst Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Approved Electrician to join a commercial project. You will carry out electrical installation works to a high standard on site, reading drawings, installing containment and wiring to AC units, and ensuring work meets current regulations.

The role requires an ECS Gold Card, IPAF, and proven commercial experience. You will work both independently and with other trades, maintaining safety, quality workmanship, and good housekeeping on site.

Job Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced Approved Electrician to work on a commercial project. The successful candidate will be required to carry out a range of electrical installation works to a high standard, working safely and efficiently as part of the site team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Installation of electrical containment, including tray, basket, trunking and associated containment systems.
• Installation and wiring of conduit.
• Installation of power supplies and associated electrical connections to AC units.
• Cable installation, wiring and termination.
• Working from electrical drawings and specifications.
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with current electrical regulations and site standards.
• Working safely at height where required, using appropriate access equipment.
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and housekeeping on site.
• Working independently as well as alongside other trades and site personnel.

Essential Requirements

• ECS Gold Card - Approved Electrician
• Valid IPAF licence
• Proven experience in commercial electrical installation work.
• Experience installing containment and conduit.
• Experience with power supplies and wiring to air conditioning units.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Good understanding of current electrical regulations and safe working practices.
• Own standard electrical tools and appropriate PPE.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
