CDM Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Approved Electrician for a full-time permanent role covering the North East region. The successful candidate will perform electrical installations across commercial and industrial sites, carry out inspections and testing, and ensure compliance with current regulations.

Role includes mentoring apprentices and coordinating with clients and trades to deliver projects safely and efficiently.

Formación

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations required.
• City & Guilds I&T (Initial and Periodic Testing) or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations required.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out electrical installation work across commercial and industrial sites.
• Undertake inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
• Interpret and work from electrical drawings, plans and specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with current regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, including testing and inspection reports.
• Provide guidance and support to apprentices and junior electricians.
• Liaise with clients, colleagues and other trades to ensure projects are delivered effectively.
• Maintain high health and safety standards across all sites.

The Opportunity

A growing electrical engineering contractor operating across the North East and delivering projects throughout the UK is looking to recruit an experienced Approved Electrician to join its expanding team.

The business specialises in electrical installation, Building Management Systems (BMS) and mechanical control wiring, alongside wider electrical contracting services. Working across a variety of commercial and industrial environments, the company undertakes projects ranging from smaller installations through to larger, complex electrical projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician looking to join an established and growing business, working across a varied portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation work across a range of commercial and industrial sites.
• Undertake inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently.

• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations.
• City & Guilds #removed# (Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing) or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• ECS Gold Card.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Confident working independently and managing workloads across multiple sites.
• Good communication skills and the ability to support and mentor apprentices.
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets and laptops for job records and reporting.

Salary & Benefits

• £38,000 - £41,000 per annum, depending on experience.
