Job summary

Robert Hurst Limited is seeking an experienced Approved Electrician to work on a secure prison establishment. You will carry out electrical installation works, including containment and fire detection system wiring, while upholding strict security procedures and high workmanship standards.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent, ECS Gold Card, EL1 Security Clearance and a DBS certificate.

Qualifications

• Approved Electrician with relevant electrical installation experience.
• Experience wiring fire detection and fire alarm systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Compliance with BS7671 Wiring Regulations and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical containment systems (tray, basket, conduit, trunking).
• Wiring and installation of fire detection and alarm systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Ensure work complies with BS7671 and site safety rules.
• Maintain safe working environment in a secure custodial site.
