Job summary

Aureos Capital is seeking an Approved Electrician to carry out installation, maintenance, testing, inspection, and fault-finding across commercial, industrial, and domestic environments in Scotland.

You will work to BS 7671 (18th Edition), ensure health and safety compliance, and prepare certificates and documentation. The role includes site-based work with travel, overtime could be required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in electrical installation is essential.
• City & Guilds 2365/2330 or equivalent required.
• 18th Edition BS 7671 wiring regs qualification essential.
• AM2 qualification and ECS Gold Card required.
• Full UK driving licence is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical systems and equipment across sites.
• Carry out installations in accordance with BS 7671 (18th Edition).
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on commercial/industrial installations.
• Perform inspection, testing, and certification of installations where qualified.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
• Complete installation certificates, job sheets, and documentation accurately.
• Undertake planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and colleagues on site.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and used safely.
• Support project delivery, commissioning, and site surveys as required.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and report safety concerns.
