The salary for this role is £42,858 (inclusive of Specialist Allowance- £3,248), and onsite working is expected for 5 days a week. There will be weekend shifts and overtime, and openness to taking on these shifts is appreciated.
Job Description
This role is based at Culham, Oxfordshire.
This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.
The Role
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference? Join our team and contribute to the future of fusion energy. As an Approved Electrician, you will be responsible for providing engineering support and expertise to the Electrical Services Group, ensuring the successful operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the Culham site's power supply infrastructure and low-voltage control systems in compliance with current legislation and codes of practice.
You will lead small to medium work packages related to complex HV/LV electrical equipment, including minor installation or modification tasks, and technical studies, while preparing the necessary documentation.
In addition, you will carry out fault-finding activities on electrical systems, ensuring that proposed solutions are technically sound, and you will be expected to have the competency required to supervise work on these systems.
