East Kent Colleges Group is seeking an Apprenticeship Trainer for Carpentry and Joinery to guide and assess apprentices through their programmes. You will deliver practical and theoretical training, support learners to gain essential skills, and collaborate with employers to reflect current industry standards.

You will ideally hold an Assessor qualification (D32/D33, A1, or CAVA) and may have an Internal QA qualification (TDLB D34, V1 or similar).

Qualifications

  • Strong practical experience and knowledge within Carpentry and Joinery.
  • Passion for supporting and developing apprentices and new entrants to the industry.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and engage learners from a range of backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An Assessor qualification, such as D32/D33, A1 or the Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA).
  • An Internal Quality Assurance qualification, such as TDLB D34, V1 or the Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice, would be desirable.

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the curriculum and apprenticeship teams.

As an Apprenticeship Trainer – Carpentry and Joinery, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to the careers of future tradespeople, while sharing your own industry knowledge and experience.

You’ll work closely with apprentices and employers to provide a high-quality training and assessment experience, helping learners progress from developing their fundamental skills through to becoming confident, capable professionals.

Your role will include:

About You
