Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is seeking an experienced Apprenticeship Skills Coach/Lecturer to join a well-established FE provider in Leicester.

The role blends classroom teaching with apprenticeship coaching, assessment and learner support to ensure learners develop the skills and confidence needed to complete qualifications. Ideal candidates will have FE teaching/assessing experience, a recognised qualification, and a strong understanding of apprenticeship standards and EPA preparation.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching, coaching or assessing learners within Further Education, apprenticeships or vocational training.
• A recognised teaching and/or assessor qualification, or relevant equivalent experience.
• A good understanding of apprenticeship standards, learner progress reviews and assessment practices.
• Experience supporting learners towards successful qualification completion.
• Strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage a varied learner caseload.
• A commitment to providing high-quality education and supporting learner achievement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging teaching and training sessions in line with relevant curriculum requirements and apprenticeship standards.
• Provide individual coaching, guidance and ongoing support to apprentices throughout their programmes.
• Monitor learner progress, conduct regular reviews and identify areas requiring additional support.
• Assess learner work, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate assessment records.
• Support apprentices with portfolio development, Functional Skills and preparation for End Point Assessment (EPA).
• Carry out initial assessments and contribute to individual learning and training plans.
• Work collaboratively with employers and learners to ensure successful programme completion.
• Maintain accurate learner records and complete relevant administrative and quality assurance requirements.
• Adapt teaching and coaching approaches to accommodate different learning notes and abilities.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Apprenticeship Skills Coach / Lecturer to join a well-established Further Education provider in Leicester.

This is a varied role combining classroom teaching with apprenticeship coaching, assessment and learner support. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality learning while supporting apprentices throughout their training programmes, ensuring they develop the skills, knowledge and confidence required to achieve their qualifications.
