Our 24-month Apprenticeship programme is designed to provide you with the perfect blend of practical on-the-job training and study towards the Sales Level 4 Apprenticeship standard.
You will work within a successful Sales team while learning everything you need to know to be a top sales performer, supported by your peers, managers, and the apprenticeship team at Kuehne+Nagel.
Initially, you will focus on delivering excellent customer service, then build on this foundation to develop specialist sales skills, managing your own Customer Service or Sales Account. There is potential for successful apprentices to secure full-time sales positions, with bonuses and pay rises linked to the apprenticeship program.
Over the two years, you will learn to:
• Process bookings efficiently from clients and overseas agents.
• Provide operational support for Sales Managers.
• Liaise with relevant parties to organise goods movement, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Handle shipment issues and update clients or Sales Managers.
• Process sales and purchase invoices.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in meetings and training.
• Make sales calls, onboard new customers, and attend offsite meetings.
• Analyse sales performance and prepare customer review meetings.
The minimum entry requirement is five GCSEs at grades 3–9 / A*-D, including Maths & English.
We value candidates passionate about customer service, with a strong work ethic and good communication skills. Organisation, multitasking, and self-motivation are important. Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel is beneficial.
Please note, this vacancy does not meet the criteria for visa sponsorship or apprenticeship funding unless candidates have been resident in the EEA for the past three years.

• Apprenticeship Contract: Fixed term, 2 years
• Working hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:15 pm
• Place of work: On-site in Manchester
Step 1: Application review on a rolling basis.
Step 2: Shortlisted candidates will do a phone screening with our Talent Acquisition team.
Step 3: Final shortlisted candidates will be invited for an onsite interview.
Step 4: Feedback will be given; successful candidates may be invited for a site tour and document verification.
