Job summary

Capita plc is seeking a Programme Facilitator to join the HMS Collingwood apprenticeship delivery team, combining coaching, mentoring and programme coordination in a dynamic Royal Navy environment. You will support learners from onboarding through to assessment, ensuring a high-quality learning experience.

You will manage caseloads, deliver support activities, prepare for Gateway and EPA, and collaborate with stakeholders to keep programmes on track. Travel to Scotland and Plymouth is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in apprenticeships delivery and progression support.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Confident communicator with stakeholders across Navy and education partners.
• Proficient IT skills with accurate record-keeping across systems.
• Willingness to travel to Scotland and Plymouth for coverage.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of apprentices and support progression.
• Deliver learner support activities: coaching, mentoring, progress reviews and intervention sessions.
• Prepare apprentices for Gateway and EPA, ensuring readiness.
• Monitor progress and implement tailored recovery plans for at-risk learners.
• Coordinate activities with internal and external stakeholders to ensure programmes run smoothly.
• Build relationships with Royal Navy personnel, training teams, awarding bodies and partners.
• Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with funding and QA requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement to raise learner outcomes and delivery quality.

Are you passionate about supporting learners to achieve their potential? We're looking for a Programme Facilitator to join our apprenticeship delivery team at HMS Collingwood working closely with Royal Navy apprentices across a wide range of apprenticeship programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to combine coaching, mentoring, stakeholder engagement and programme coordination in a unique operational environment, helping apprentices build the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for successful careers while ensuring a high-quality learning experience from start to finish. Full-time role - 37.5 hours a week

HMS Collingwood Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level

What you'll be doing

• Managing a caseload of apprentices, supporting their progression and achievement throughout their apprenticeship journey.
• Delivering learner support activities including joining briefs, progress reviews, coaching, mentoring and intervention sessions.
• Helping apprentices prepare for Gateway and End Point Assessment (EPA), ensuring they are confident and ready to succeed.
• Monitoring learner progress, identifying those at risk of falling behind, and implementing tailored support and recovery plans.
• Coordinating apprenticeship activities and working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure programmes run effectively.
• Building strong relationships with Royal Navy personnel, training teams, awarding organisations and delivery partners.
• Maintaining accurate learner records and ensuring compliance with apprenticeship, funding and quality assurance requirements.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance learner outcomes, programme performance and overall delivery quality.

What we're looking for:

Essential:

• Industry experience in apprenticeships
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and workloads.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Good IT skills and experience using multiple systems to maintain accurate records and track activity.
• Ability to travel to other sites (Scotland & Plymouth)

Desirable:

• Teaching, training, assessing, coaching or mentoring qualification.
• Knowledge of apprenticeships, vocational qualifications or accredited learning programmes.
• Military, Defence or Royal Navy experience.
• Experience working within education, training delivery, learning and development or apprenticeship environments.
