Job summary

Crown Gabelstapler GmbH & Co. KG - Deutschland is offering a workshop engineer role in the UK. You will service and repair forklifts, with hands-on training in hydraulics, LPG and electric systems, while learning Crown procedures and safety standards.

You will learn through on-the-job training, shadowing colleagues, and attending manufacturer trainings, while building relationships with customers and colleagues in a structured workshop setting.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Keen interest in engineering and practical problem solving.
• Able to build relationships with colleagues and customers.
• GCSE grades in Maths and English at A* to C or equivalent.
• IT literacy with Word and Excel or equivalent software.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work efficiently, accurately and meet deadlines.
• Flexible, dependable and proactive in a workshop environment.
• Aptitude for practical science or engineering skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintenance of forklift trucks in line with Crown specs.
• Attend training and complete modules and college as needed.
• Shadow a colleague and learn workshop procedures on the job.
• Attend manufacturer training and Crown procedures.
• Complete worksheets, timesheets and keep tools/spares secure.
• Keep customer trucks clean and secure in the workshop.
• Build good relationships with customers, colleagues and managers.
• Undertake other duties Crown reasonably requests.
