Job summary

Crown Lift Trucks UK is seeking a workshop engineer / forklift service technician for a structured apprenticeship. You will diagnose and repair forklifts, learn hydraulics, LPG and electric systems, and gain hands-on experience on site.

You’ll shadow colleagues, attend training, and complete modules while contributing to safe, efficient workshop operation. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day; 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Friendly and able to build relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Grades between 9 and 4 or equivalent in Maths and English as a minimum.
• IT-literate and familiar with Microsoft Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to install, repair and carry out planned maintenance of customer forklift trucks to Crown specifications.
• Work shadow a colleague and develop workshop procedures.
• Attend manufacturer training and other training courses as appropriate.
• Learn Crown administrative procedures and how to complete worksheets/timesheets.
