Job Title: Water Treatment Technician Apprentice - Building Services

Job Type: Full-Time, Apprenticeship

Job Description:

Integral UK is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Water Treatment Technician Apprentice to join our building services team. This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in water treatment within a commercial setting. You will work alongside experienced professionals, receiving comprehensive training and mentorship to lay the groundwork for a successful career in water treatment and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the monitoring and analysis of water quality to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
  2. Awareness and support in Legionella awareness.
  3. Support the maintenance and operation of water treatment systems and equipment, including filtration, softening, and chemical dosing systems.
  4. Learn to interpret technical specifications and water quality reports.
  5. Participate in site visits to evaluate water treatment processes and implement improvements.
  6. Help troubleshoot issues and perform necessary adjustments or repairs to treatment systems.
  7. Develop an understanding of health and safety regulations to ensure compliance and promote safe working practices.
  8. Assist senior engineers in conducting water treatment processes and system maintenance.
  9. Learn to test water quality and interpret results.
  10. Help with the installation and repair of water treatment equipment.
  11. Contribute to the maintenance of water treatment logs and records.
  12. Participate in regular training sessions and educational courses.
  13. Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  14. Assist in customer service and communication with clients.
  15. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including water treatment logs and maintenance reports.

Desired Skills, Qualities, and Experience:

  1. Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above. A grade 5 in Maths and Science is required for this role.
  2. Enthusiastic and passionate about a career in engineering.
  3. Eager to develop new skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  5. Good level of attendance, self-discipline, and time management. Meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks effectively.
  6. There is a minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
  7. You may be required to complete a DBS check, at either basic or enhanced level, depending on the location you will be working in.

Important Information:

GRADES: If you are on predicted grades, your offer will be conditional to achieving the required grades before the apprenticeship start date.

The recruitment process for this programme will take place in March & April 2025.

Role Start Date: August 2025
