Job summary

Group 1 Automotive in Watford is seeking an Apprentice Vehicle Technician to learn and perform servicing and maintenance according to Jaguar Land Rover standards. You will work with a supportive team, gain qualifications, and start earning while you learn.

The programme values punctuality, teamwork and a proactive attitude, with opportunities for industry discounts and career development as you progress through the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths, English and Science.
• Punctual and good time‑keeping.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Strong teamwork and communication.
• Enthusiasm to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Diversity valued; apply even if not all criteria met.

Responsibilities

• Servicing vehicles – carry out checks and maintenance in accordance with brand guidelines.
• Identify, repair and replace faulty components and parts.
• Liaise with Service Advisors about required repairs or vehicle work.
• Maintain repair and service records.
• Learn and demonstrate work bay and surrounding area tidiness.
• Consider the customer impact on any activity with the vehicle.
• Satisfy the academic requirements of the apprenticeship – engage with our provider and ensure course progress.
