Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is looking for an Apprentice Vehicle Technician at BMW Borehamwood. You will start earning while gaining qualifications, learning from experts and growing within a supportive team.

You will service vehicles, perform checks, and work with Service Advisors on repairs while keeping accurate records and maintaining tidy work areas. This role supports your academic progress through the apprenticeship provider.

Qualifications

• Punctual and timekeeping ability.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Driven to exceed targets.
• GCSEs in Maths, English and Science are required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Servicing our vehicles and carrying out checks and maintenance per brand guidelines.
• Identify, repair and replace faulty components or parts.
• Liaise with Service Advisors about required repairs or work.
• Maintain repair and service records.
• Learn work bay tidiness and keep surrounding area clean.
• Consider customer impact on any vehicle activity.
• Meet apprenticeship academic progress with provider.

What you’ll do day to day

Servicing our vehicles – you’ll be carrying out checks and maintenance in accordance with brand guidelines.

• Identifying, repairing and replacing components and parts that are faults.
• Liaising with our Service Advisors about required repairs or vehicle work.

• Learn and demonstrate work bay and surrounding area tidiness.
• To always consider the customer impact on any activity with the vehicle, demonstrating our customer-centric approach.
