Job summary

FMG Repair Services in the United Kingdom is recruiting an Apprentice Vehicle Damage Panel Technician. This 36‑month apprenticeship offers hands‑on experience in a supportive bodyshop, with a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification and no prior experience required.

You'll work Mon–Fri, 08:00–17:00, earning £8.50/hour in year one and rising to the national wage from year two, with mentoring and block‑release training throughout. Strong safety and teamwork are encouraged.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Willingness to learn and develop practical skills.
• Interest in the automotive sector.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Repairing, removing and replacing vehicle body panels to manufacturer standards.
• Learning to repair structural and non-structural vehicle damage.
• Carrying out panel alignment and using welding, bonding and mechanical fastening techniques.
• Following approved repair methods to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Maintaining tools, equipment and a safe working environment.
• Working alongside experienced technicians while developing practical skills.
• Communicating effectively with the team and contributing to a positive working environment.
