Job summary

Terrain Surveys in Welwyn (Hertfordshire) is hiring an Apprentice/Trainee Geospatial Surveyor. No prior experience needed. You will learn to use total stations, 3D laser scanners, GPS and GPR, supported by our in-house training and a pathway to Level 3 & Level 6 apprenticeships.

Applicants must be able to commute to Welwyn and live nearby. The role blends fieldwork with office tasks, ideal for someone starting a career in surveying.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade 4+ in Maths and English or equivalent.
• Be enthusiastic and like to work outdoors

We are looking for an Apprentice/Trainee Geospatial Surveyor to join our team, Terrain Surveys are a fast-growing land surveying consultancy based in Welwyn in Hertfordshire. The trainee role is an entry level position and therefore no previous experience is required.

You will learn how to use modern surveying equipment which includes total stations, 3D laser scanners, GPS & GPR to complete measured surveys to meet our clients’ requirements. Your development will be supported by our comprehensive in-house training programme and a chance to gain further accredited qualifications.

The role of a Geospatial Surveyor is varied and provides a great mix of both site and office work.

Training Offered:

Full on the job training plus the opportunity to gain professional surveying qualifications. For the right individual we can offer both Level 3 & Level 6 apprenticeships (dependant on meeting apprenticeship criteria).
