Job description

About ASEL

Argenbright Security Europe Limited (ASEL) is one of the UK's most forward-thinking managed security services providers, part of the Argenbright Holdings Group — a $2.1 billion global organisation with nearly five decades of heritage in security and technology services.

We design, develop, and deliver fully bespoke integrated security solutions, bringing together people, technology, and operational processes to protect clients across the public and private sectors. Our Security Technology division delivers some of the most advanced solutions available in the UK market, including CCTV, access control, facial recognition, intruder detection, body worn video, lone worker systems, robotics, RFID, and gatehouse automation — all implemented by our own team of specialist engineers.

Underpinning everything we do is our Risk Advisory Practice — the original thinkers in security risk modelling — which uses data and intelligence to help our clients anticipate, prevent, and mitigate risk. We are ambitious, growing, and committed to becoming Europe's most respected risk management and integrated security services provider.

The Role:

We are looking for an Apprentice Technology Administrator to join our Security Technology team in Rochdale. This is an entry-level opportunity to start a career in technology and security services while earning a nationally recognised qualification.

You will support the team that keeps our technology records, schedules, and documentation accurate and up to date, learning on the job from experienced colleagues across engineering, operations, and commercial teams. No prior experience is needed, just attention to detail, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

You will spend most of your time working in the business, with protected time set aside for off-the-job training with our learning provider.

Key Responsibilities
Administration and Records
  • Entering, updating, and checking data on client sites, installed technology, engineer records, and service schedules.
  • Helping maintain asset registers, including equipment, serial numbers, warranty dates, and maintenance history.
  • Filing and version controlling documents so they are easy to find and up to date.
  • Supporting regular data checks to spot errors, duplicates, or missing information, and reporting them to the team.
Engineer and Service Support
  • Helping coordinate job records, service visits, and paperwork between engineers, operations, and account management.
  • Updating job statuses and completion records in our operational systems.
  • Acting as a point of contact for simple data and records queries from colleagues.
Reporting Support
  • Helping prepare regular reports and management information using Excel and other Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Collating data to support client reporting, meeting agreed deadlines.
  • Flagging anything unusual in the data to a senior colleague.
Commercial Support
  • Supporting the commercial team with supplier records, purchase orders, and contract renewal information.
Systems and Process Support
  • Learning to use our operational systems and helping keep their data accurate.
  • Assisting with testing and rollout of new systems and processes.
  • Helping write and update step-by-step process guides.
Compliance and Governance
  • Handling data in line with GDPR and ASEL information security policies.
  • Treating sensitive client, personnel, and commercial information with care and confidentiality.
  • Supporting our Integrated Management System and accreditation requirements.
Learning and Development
  • Completing your apprenticeship training, including off-the-job learning, coursework, and assessments.
  • Meeting regularly with your line manager and training provider to review progress.
  • Contributing to team meetings and suggesting improvements.
What We Are Looking For
Essential
  • GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent (or willingness to achieve these as part of the apprenticeship).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate work.
  • Good basic IT skills, with some familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Good organisation and time management, with the ability to juggle tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A clear, professional communication style, written and verbal.
  • Enthusiasm to learn new systems and take on feedback.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and to undertake an apprenticeship (we will confirm requirements during recruitment).
Desirable
  • Experience of Excel beyond the basics, such as formulas, sorting, or filtering.
  • Any previous work experience, voluntary work, or work placement in an office or customer-facing setting.
  • Interest in technology, security, or data.
