Job description

Park's Motor Group is seeking talented individuals to join as Apprentice Vehicle Technicians. This role offers the opportunity to develop into a skilled Service Technician, capable of handling advanced vehicle technology, with endless career prospects.

TYPICAL DAY

You will work on vehicles such as cars and light commercial vehicles. Responsibilities include servicing, fault finding, repairs, operating specialist equipment, and other related tasks. Training combines practical experience with theoretical learning, including computer skills and understanding vehicle technology.

TRAINING AND SKILLS

• On-the-job training in the workshop with a mentor
• Off-the-job college training typically in one-week blocks
• Building a portfolio to record your training and skills
• Working towards the Modern Apprenticeship Framework for Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, including Core Skills

QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will be confident, self-motivated, and a team player. An interest in automotive and engineering industries, curiosity, and a desire to fix things are as important as academic achievements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have at least 5 qualifications at National 5 level, including Maths, English, and Science. Predicted grades will be considered.
