Job summary

Oasis Academy Don Valley in Sheffield is inviting applications for an Apprentice Teaching Assistant. You will support teaching staff with lesson delivery and pastoral support, helping to plan, prepare resources and assist with learning activities.

The role requires a minimum of 3 GCSEs including English and Maths, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to work alongside teachers to meet students' needs. 37 hours a week, 39 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and Maths.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in tandem with teaching staff.
• Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of students.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparation and delivery of lesson provision, both for whole classes and individuals.
• Prepare resources to support learning activities and ensure pupils are supported pastorally.
• Contribute to evaluating student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
