Job summary

Arvato is seeking an Apprentice Site Engineer to join the engineering and maintenance team at UK sites. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced warehouse and automation environment, supporting reactive repairs, preventative maintenance, fault finding and equipment inspections while pursuing an apprenticeship.

You will learn across mechanical, electrical and automation systems and complete your apprenticeship programme with on-the-job training and formal learning, travelling between UK

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical engineering concepts.
• Proactive learner with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Interest in automation, conveyors and warehouse technologies.
• Good communication and teamwork; can follow instructions and escalate when needed.
• Comfort using Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Commitment to safe working practices, 5S and housekeeping.
• Willingness to travel between UK sites.

Responsibilities

• Support experienced engineers with reactive repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with equipment inspections and fault diagnosis.
• Build hands-on skills in automation, conveyors and AutoStore.
• Complete maintenance documentation and ticketing accurately.
• Work safely and collaboratively with operations teams and vendors.
• Contribute to improvements in equipment reliability and efficiency.
