Job summary

The Isle of Wight College is advertising an Apprentice Property Maintenance Operative position at Lanesend Primary School. The role involves working with our multi-site Executive Site Manager to learn all aspects of school facilities management, with duties across Lanesend, St.Blasius, and St.Francis.

You will perform general site maintenance, health and safety checks, grounds maintenance, event room setup, deliveries and stock checks, and ensure the site is clean, safe and secure.

Qualifications

• Motivated apprentice to learn all aspects of school facilities management.
• GCSE Maths and English grade 4+ desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work across multiple sites and meet health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Support with general site maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with health and safety checks and paperwork.
• Grounds maintenance and keeping outdoor areas tidy.
• Help set up rooms for events and activities.
• Manage deliveries and support stock checks.
• Ensure the site is clean, safe, and secure.
