Job summary

Superdrug Stores Plc is seeking an Apprentice Retail Sales Assistant in Hull. You will be at the heart of store activity, serving customers, promoting Star Buys, and helping the store hit its targets. Training is in-store over the first 12 months, with progression toward a Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship.

Hours are 39 per week with flexible shifts. You will learn on the shop floor, gain hands-on experience, and benefit from extensive training and career progression within Superdrug.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (grade 4/C or equivalent) required.
• Not currently in any education, available for full-time shifts.
• Haven't completed a Retail Apprenticeship before.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Brand new to retail.

Responsibilities

As an Apprentice Sales Assistant at Superdrug, you'll be right at the heart of the action-serving customers with a smile, sharing our amazing Star Buys, and making sure everyone leaves feeling great!

You'll help keep the store looking its best and fully stocked, while playing a key role in smashing store targets.

It's a hands‑on, fast‑paced role that's never boring and packed with chances to learn. We see our Apprentice Sales Assistants as future Team Leaders, and we'll give you everything you need to grow-with brilliant training, and real opportunities to progress.

Your training will take place in-store over the first 12 months, so no college days and no homework! At the end of your training period, you will complete a discussion around your experiences and an observation of you performing your role. You will be supported throughout by your team and your tutor to achieve your Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship

What you'll bring to the role:

• A positive mindset & clear communication skills
• Passionate about health & beauty and customer service
• Desire to learn and improve your knowledge/skills
• Flexible in working hours and adaptable to change

You qualify if...

• You have a grade 4 / C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and maths (national 4's for Scotland)
• You are not currently in any form of education, and you are available for full time shifts
• You HAVEN'T completed a Retail Apprenticeship before
• You are eligible to work in the UK
• You are brand new to retail
