Job summary

Newark and Sherwood District Council is seeking an Apprentice Revenues Assistant to join the Revenues and Benefits team on a temporary contract of up to 2 years. The role is full-time (37 hours per week) with a starting salary of £15,434.29 per annum, increasing to the minimum wage for your age after 12 months.

You will undertake a Level 4 Revenues & Welfare Benefits Practitioner qualification and gain hands-on experience in council tax and business rates processing, supported by a friendly

Qualifications

• Some experience of completing administrative tasks.
• GCSE Maths and English at C/4 or above or equivalent.
• DBS check is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing Council Tax and business rates.
• Set up direct debits and handle sensitive information.
• Prepare refunds for approval and support learning opportunities.
• Support colleagues to ensure accuracy and customer-focused service.
