Job summary

Phototype UK is seeking an Apprentice Reprographic Artworker to learn how to prepare artwork for print in a busy studio in Ashford. You’ll work under Senior Artworkers and gain hands-on experience from day one.

You’ll learn to set up files for print and packaging, use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to make technical amendments, and become proficient with Esko tools; the program runs over 2 years 6 months with a Level 3 Print Technician route.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail, curiosity and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work with Senior Artworkers and follow brand guidelines.
• No prior expert knowledge required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of digital artwork files for print.
• Using Illustrator and Photoshop to make technical amends and typeset copy.
• Learning to set up files for various print and packaging processes.
• Creating print-ready files using industry-standard and Esko tools.
