Job summary

Phototype UK is seeking an Apprentice Reprographic Artworker to learn how to prepare artwork for print in a busy studio in Ashford. You’ll work under Senior Artworkers and gain hands-on experience from day one.

You’ll learn to set up files for print and packaging, use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to make technical amendments, and become proficient with Esko tools; the program runs over 2 years 6 months with a Level 3 Print Technician route.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail, curiosity and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work with Senior Artworkers and follow brand guidelines.
• No prior expert knowledge required; training provided.

Introduction

Join our busy artwork studio as an Apprentice Reprographic Artworker, where you’ll learn the craft of preparing artwork for print.

You will be supported by our Senior Artworkers, you’ll gain hands-on experience with, developing the technical and creative skills needed to thrive in the reprographics and packaging industry.

What You\'ll Do

You’ll gain hands-on experience with real jobs from day one:

• Assisting in the preparation of digital artwork files for print


• Using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to make technical amends, typeset copy, and ensure all artwork meets strict brand guidelines


• Learning how to set up files for various print and packaging processes


• Creating print-ready files using industry-standard and Esko tools

You don’t need to be an expert yet, we’ll teach you everything you need to know. What matters most is your attitude, curiosity, and attention to detail.

Training Outcome

After successful completion of the apprenticeship you will become a Junior Artworker at Phototype UK.
