Weatherbys is recruiting an apprentice to join the print production team in Wellingborough. You’ll learn the full print process from artwork prep to finishing and dispatch, in a modern print room alongside experienced professionals, gaining real hands-on experience from day one.

No prior experience required—just a keen eye for detail and a drive to learn. The programme offers structured on-the-job training and industry-recognised qualifications upon completion.

Qualifications

• No experience needed, keen eye for detail and willingness to learn.
• Structured apprenticeship programme with on-the-job training.
• Exposure to industry-standard equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Operate digital print equipment including large format printers and presses.
• Prepare customer artwork for production on commercial printing equipment.
• Load materials and consumables into machines.
• Monitor print jobs for quality and accuracy.
• Carry out basic machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Assist with finishing: cutting, laminating, binding and packaging.
• Conduct quality checks against standards.
• Support stock control and maintain an organised workspace.
• Assist with packing and preparing orders for dispatch.
• Work collaboratively with production and design teams.
