Job summary

Equans is seeking an Apprentice Project Manager to join our team on the HMCTS Contract based at Bevis Marks, London. This fixed-term role runs for 48 months, full-time (40 hours per week), with a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

You will develop a career in Project Management within Facilities Management, gaining hands-on experience while studying for a professional qualification and supporting UK government projects.

Qualifications

  • BTEC Business Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficient computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across UK sites as required.
  • Security Vetting clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Gain knowledge of SHEQ processes and support project delivery.
  • Build partnerships with FM services and client teams, focusing on customer engagement.
  • Support improvements in project delivery processes and handovers.
  • Develop communications with stakeholders, clients, and contractors.
  • Oversee contractor works and manage potential issues to keep projects on track.
  • Learn CAFM systems and Maximo integration for project delivery.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in challenging customer and staff interactions.
  • Take increasing responsibility for planning and managing your own tasks.
  • Support Responsible Business objectives and Net Carbon Zero initiatives.
  • Participate in safety and compliance activities.

What will you deliver?
  • Gain thorough knowledge of SHEQ processes supporting project delivery and ensure consistent implementation.
  • Build collaborative partnerships within FM services and client teams, focusing strongly on customer engagement.
  • Support continuous improvements in project delivery processes and assist with smooth operational handovers.
  • Develop and maintain effective communications with stakeholders, clients, and contractors.
  • Oversee contractor works as directed and proactively manage potential issues to keep projects on track.
  • Utilize technology efficiently, including learning CAFM systems and project integration with Maximo.
  • Demonstrate resilience and professionalism in a variety of challenging customer and staff interactions.
  • Take increasing responsibility for planning and managing your own work tasks.
  • Support company‑wide Responsible Business objectives and Net Carbon Zero initiatives.
  • Participate in safety and compliance activities such as Manager Safety Visits (MSVs).

Who are you?
