ABB offers an exciting apprenticeship track in Nottingham to develop skills as a Technical Engineer within a manufacturing environment. You will learn to design, cost, and manufacture products while gaining hands-on experience with BOMs, routings, and master data in the ERP system.

Working with experienced engineers, you will explore manufacturing processes, technical drawings, and product structures. You will support the quotation team and learn to develop technical solutions for customised

Qualifications

GCSEs in English, Maths and Science required.
A-Levels in Engineering or Physics preferred but not mandatory.
No prior engineering experience required; willingness to learn is essential.

Responsibilities

ERP Master Data Management - Create, maintain, and update BOM and routing data in the ERP system.
Product Structure & Manufacturing - Understand how products are structured and manufactured.
Cost Analysis & Quotation Support - Learn cost evaluations for materials and labour; support quotation team.
Technical Design with Autodesk Inventor - Use Autodesk Inventor to create 3D models and technical designs.
Technical Drawings - Produce clear, accurate sales drawings and manufacturing drawings.
Customer Requirements Translation - Translate customer requirements into technical designs.
Manufacturing Process Alignment - Align routing sequences with actual manufacturing processes.
Data Quality & Problem Resolution - Identify and resolve inaccuracies in product and manufacturing data.
Continuous Improvement & Change Management - Capture changes in ERP; collaborate across teams to maintain data accuracy.
