Job summary
ABB UK is offering an apprentice Technical Engineer role in a manufacturing environment. You will learn to design, cost and manufacture, while gaining hands-on experience with BOMs, routings and ERP master data. You will work with Autodesk Inventor to create 3D models and technical drawings, supporting the quotation team with customer requirements.
Joining is a structured development path with mentorship, aimed at building practical engineering skills and progression within ABB as you grow.
Qualifications
- GCSE English, Maths and Science at grade C/4+ or equivalent.
- A-Levels in Engineering or Physics preferred; willingness to learn.
- Good understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and update BOM and routing data in the ERP system.
- Develop understanding of product structures and manufacturing processes.
- Support cost analysis and quotation activities with engineering inputs.
- Use Autodesk Inventor to create 3D models and technical drawings.
- Translate customer requirements into accurate technical designs.
