A Vacancy at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for 2 dynamic, highly motivated individuals with excellent attention to detail to participate in a 2‑year training post as a Pre‑Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician (PTPT).
Your apprenticeship will follow a competence‑based learning programme involving one day a week of virtual training with Bradford College. Working under appropriate supervision, you will participate in a range of pharmacy services within Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (WUTH).
Hours: 37.5 per week, worked over 7 days including evenings, weekends and bank holidays as per rota. Current rota in Year 1 includes 1 in 6 weekends of both Saturday and Sunday (between 9am and 6pm) and 1–2 Bank Holidays; Year 2 is 1 in 6 weekends of Saturday or Sunday. A day back in lieu will be provided for full weekends in Year 1.
This vacancy is being advertised as an apprenticeship; therefore the salary for the role is reflective of this. Those who currently hold and can evidence the essential qualifications need not apply. Your application will not be shortlisted if you hold the essential qualification(s).
Although English and Maths at level 2 is not required for the role, it is a requirement to complete the apprenticeship and must be in place by the end of the apprenticeship. If you do not hold or cannot evidence English and Maths at level 2 then support will be provided for the successful applicant(s) as part of the Trust’s apprenticeship offer.
You will rotate across the Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge sites within a variety of areas including stores/procurement, wards, aseptics, main and satellite dispensaries:
