  • Labelling, dispensing and final accuracy checking of prescriptions
  • Receiving and issuing prescriptions
  • Aseptic services
  • Providing excellent customer care and maintaining confidentiality while dealing with patients and staff
  • Ward-based duties, including Medicines Management and Optimisation to ensure safe medicine use

This post provides a unique opportunity to join the pharmacy team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and offers an excellent chance to gain the skills and knowledge to become a fully qualified Pharmacy Technician.

Pre-registration pharmacy technicians are vital for the development of the pharmacy team. We invite applications from enthusiastic, hardworking, self-motivated individuals with good communication skills. Previous pharmacy or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. This is a fixed-term apprenticeship, involving work in the hospital Pharmacy and day release (online remote learning) at college, leading to a Level 3 qualification (Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians). Upon completion, you can register as a Pharmacy Technician with The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

Salary: Bespoke salary details to be provided.

Working Pattern: Hours per week. Note: participation in 7-day working, including late duties, bank holidays, and weekends, is required.
