Job summary

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is offering a Pre-registration trainee Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship. You will rotate across Mental Health, Primary Care Networks and Acute Trusts as outlined in your learning plan, working between Wesham and The Harbour, Blackpool with potential placements at other sites.

You will undertake a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship and develop skills for accurate dispensing, medicines supply, and patient education under supervision,

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship leading to registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
• GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above required.
• You must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the UK.
• Rotation across Central Lancashire within Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is planned.

Responsibilities

• Assist in accurate dispensing of medicines under supervision.
• Work with the pharmacy team to support medicines supply to wards and departments.
• Participate in audits and ensure compliance with medicines legislation and standards.
• Communicate with patients to provide medication education and support adherence.
