Job summary

Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains is offering an Apprentice mechanical Inspector role at our Northamptonshire R&D Centre. You will learn to use cutting-edge Metrology, Electrical and non-destructive test processes to confirm low-volume, precision components within a fast-paced environment, while following a tailored 3-year development plan and mentoring program.

You will develop skills in radiography, GD&T, and measurement strategy creation, with a starting salary of £21,000 per year and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (4-9) in Maths, English Language and Science.
• A Level 3 qualification in a relevant Engineering subject.
• Some practical experience of Engineering, including machining principles or engine components.
• Passion for manufacturing and related extracurricular projects/work experience.

Responsibilities

• Confirm the quality of components using first principle inspection techniques and metrology equipment.
• Create CNC measurement strategies for complex prismatic components.
• Understand GD&T and ISO/DIN standards and processes.
• Liaise with Quality and Engineering to optimise measurement strategies.
• Adhere to and maintain standard operating procedures.
