Job summary

Vertu Volvo Taunton is offering an exciting apprenticeship for an Light Vehicle Technician. You will learn in a busy Volvo workshop, gaining hands-on experience while working towards a Level 3 qualification and receiving manufacturer training.

You'll perform servicing, health checks, and assist with diagnostics, while documenting workshop work and developing technician skills that lead to a qualified technician role within the company.

Qualifications

GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 or above, or equivalent.
One additional GCSE at grade 4 or above (or equivalent).
Commitment to training and developing automotive skills.

Responsibilities

Carrying out servicing and maintenance tasks on vehicles.
Performing health checks and visual inspections.
Assisting with repairs and diagnostic work.
Completing workshop documentation accurately.
Learning from experienced Volvo technicians on complex repairs.

About the Role

As an Apprentice Light Vehicle Technician, you'll work alongside experienced technicians, learning how to inspect, service, maintain and repair a wide range of Volvo passenger vehicles to the highest standards.

Carrying out vehicle servicing and maintenance tasks
Performing vehicle health checks and visual inspections
Assisting with repairs and diagnostic work
Completing workshop documentation accurately
Learning from experienced System Technicians on complex repairs and fault finding
Delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service that reflects the Volvo brand
