Do you have a passion for vehicles and want to understand how to maintain them? We have an exciting opportunity to become a Vehicle Technician Apprentice in the John Lewis Partnership. Our Light Commercial Vehicle Technicians are vital to our logistics network. They ensure our shelves are stocked and customers are satisfied. Technicians are encouraged to manage their own time and proactively maintain our Commercial Fleet.
You will gain the necessary qualifications and have the opportunity to secure a permanent Light Vehicle Technician role after your apprenticeship.
As an Apprentice Light Vehicle Technician, you'll work alongside qualified Technicians, learning to perform services, inspections, and repairs on heavy vehicles. Tasks range from simple part replacements to diagnosing complex faults with diagnostic equipment. You will work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating problem-solving skills and understanding vehicle systems.

Training combines on-the-job learning and seven-week blocks at S&B's Automotive Academy in Bristol. Travel, accommodation, and meals are paid for. Mentors support you throughout, and progress is monitored via an electronic logbook. The apprenticeship lasts three years, culminating in a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician - Light Vehicles.
