Job summary

Westerham Day Nursery in Westerham is offering an apprenticeship to become a Level 3 Early Years Educator. You will support children aged 0-5, plan and deliver activities, and contribute to observations and learning journeys under EYFS guidance.

Training is provided by Parenta Training Limited, with opportunities to progress to senior roles. Working hours are 7.45am–6.00pm, Mon–Fri, 40 hours per week, in a warm, caring environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths at passes level.
• Essential Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualification.
• Strong communication with children, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities with support from experienced staff.
• Complete observations and contribute to assessments and learning journeys.
• Support children's personal, social and emotional development.
• Promote positive behaviour and inclusive practice.
• Work closely with colleagues and families to support children's progress.
• Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of children at all times.
• Follow safeguarding, child protection and confidentiality procedures.
• Recognise and appropriately report safeguarding concerns.
• Contribute to a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.

About the Employer

Westerham Day Nursery was established in 1994 and is Ofsted registered to care for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We are open Monday to Friday between the hours of 7.45am and 6.00pm, 51 weeks of the year.Our children enjoy a warm, welcoming and friendly environment where they are respected as individuals and where learning through play and exploration is supported by well-trained and dedicated Early Years Educators. Our approach allows your child to develop their skills, interests and passions by engaging in a vast range of activities which inspire and enthuse them. Training Outcome

Successful apprentices may secure a permanent Early Years Educator position with opportunities to progress into Room Leader, Third in Charge or other senior Early Years roles.
