Job summary

Thales offers a four-year Degree Apprenticeship Programme in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in the United Kingdom, supported by Exeter University. The role combines university study with hands-on industry experience in the Integration and Testing Production Repair discipline.

You will study towards a Level 6 Electrical and Electronic Engineering Degree Apprenticeship and gain expertise in RF, microwaves, and digital electronics, while meeting BPSS and SC security requirements.

Qualifications

• Three A Levels ABB including Maths and a Science subject.
• BTEC Extended Diploma considered: Applied Science; Aeronautical Engineering; Building Services; Engineering Construction and the Built Environment; Civil Engineering; Operations and Maintenance Engineering; Computer Engineering; Electrical/Electronic Engineering; Engineering; Manufacturing Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Environmental Sustainability.
• T Level Distinction in Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing; Engineering; Manufacturing; Processing and Control; Maintenance, Installation and Repair for Engineering: Manufacturing only; Surveying and Planning for Construction.
• GCSEs: five GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above, including English Language and Mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Test and diagnose complex faults on deliverable customer systems and sub-assemblies.
• Coordinate all activities with regards to the testing of the Systems to ensure delivery dates are met to agreed quality and costs.
• Responsible for the presentation of Systems for customer acceptance.
• Directly represent Thales with respect to the provision and support of Customer Systems, both on and off-site; including setting to work and all Trials and Customer Acceptance tasks.
