Job summary

GEA Heating & Refrigeration Technologies in the UK offers a four-year apprenticeship to become an Industrial Refrigeration Field Service Engineer. You will shadow qualified engineers, learn on the tools, and develop hands-on skills while travelling to sites around Glasgow and the Northeast.

You will gain experience in mechanical and electrical control circuits, fault finding, and customer service as you progress. A full UK driving licence is required, with GCSEs in Maths, English and Science.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence probably required for site visits.
• GCSEs in Maths, English & Science (or equivalent) at grade C or above.
• Interest in Engineering/Mechanical subjects.
• Inquisitive mindset and willingness to learn on the job.
• Soft skills, punctuality, motivation and proactivity are essential.

Responsibilities

• Shadow qualified engineers and learn on the tools while developing progress.
• Travel to sites in Glasgow area and Northeast, working with Manchester & Leeds branches.
• Develop understanding of mechanical & electrical control circuits, fault finding and repair.
