Job summary

South Kesteven District Council is offering an apprenticeship in vehicle maintenance in Grantham. The role provides hands-on training with mentors and formal off-the-job learning, leading to a recognised qualification.

No previous experience is required; applicants should be enthusiastic, willing to learn and have an interest in vehicles. Full training will be provided and the apprenticeship runs for 36 months on a fixed-term basis.

• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Work as part of a supportive and experienced workshop team.

Hours: 37 Hours per week

Salary: Dependent on age, NMWU18 (£15,435 per annum), NMW1820 (£20,934 per annum), NLW21 (£24,522 per annum)

Contract: Fixed Term for 36 Months

Receive hands-on training, support from experienced mentors and study towards a recognised qualification.

Work alongside experienced mechanics maintaining and repairing the Council's diverse fleet, helping to keep essential frontline services on the road.

Our Apprenticeships combine paid employment with off the job learning and nationally recognised qualifications.
