Job summary

Elite Services in Stockport is offering an apprenticeship in vehicle maintenance and repair. You will work in the workshop assisting with servicing and diagnostics under the guidance of a mentor.

The Growth Company will provide full training and ongoing support to help you reach your potential in this role while developing essential skills for a career in the automotive industry.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at A*-C/9-4 or equivalent.
• Demonstrated interest in motor vehicles and a career in automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Keep the workshop area clean and tidy.
• Learn to use tools and equipment used in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Follow safe workshop procedures at all times.
• Assist other technicians and mentors with their duties.
• Service and inspect vehicles as directed.
• Assist with removing and replacing engine, chassis, electrical, and transmission components.
• Carry out basic and complex fault diagnosis and repairs on various systems.

About This Opportunity

Elite Services in Stockport have a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated person to join their company. Working in their workshop on their buses and coaches, you will assist with maintaining, repairing, and servicing the fleet of vehicles.

• Keeping the workshop clean & tidy
• How to use tools & equipment used in vehicle maintenance & repair.
• Safe working procedures in the workshop
• Assisting other vehicle and ground side equipment technicians with their work whilst receiving on the job training
• How to service and inspect a vehicle
• How to safely remove and replace engine, chassis, electrical and transmission components
• How to carry out simple and complex fault diagnosis and repairs on engine, chassis, transmission and electrical systems

Full training and support will be provided by The Growth Company to help you achieve your apprenticeship and reach your full potential in your role.
