Job summary

AFI-Rentals is recruiting an Apprentice Engineer at our Northeast depot in Gateshead, UK. You will gain practical experience servicing and maintaining our hire fleet of modern truck-mounted and powered access machinery, working alongside experienced service engineers.

This 3-year program combines workshop-based training with block-release modules at F-TEC Swindon to achieve the Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard. GCSEs and a positive attitude to safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in practical engineering and problem solving.
• Commitment to safety instructions and regulations.
• Ability to work well in a team under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, fault-find and repair systems on the fleet.
• Attend block-release training modules at F-TEC Swindon for Level 3 Apprenticeship.
• Carry out PDIs and maintain accurate service records to meet safety standards.
