Job summary

AFI-Rentals is offering a 3-year Apprentice Engineer program based from Liverpool depot. You will work with experienced service engineers, learning to service and maintain our fleet of powered access equipment. Expect hands-on workshop time alongside structured training at F-TEC Swindon.

Ideal candidates have Maths and English GCSEs (or equivalent), keen interest in engineering, the ability to work under pressure, and a strong desire to learn while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Maths and English GCSEs at Grade 4 / C or above (or equivalent).
• Genuine enthusiasm for engineering and a strong desire to learn.
• Ability to work well under pressure, follow safety instructions, and contribute to a team.

Responsibilities

• Depot Training: Inspect, service, fault-find, and repair systems on our fleet.
• Block Release College: Attend structured block-release modules at F-TEC Swindon to earn your Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
• Safety & Standards: Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and maintain accurate service records to ensure machines meet safety and industry regulations.
