Job summary

Verallia UK Limited invites applicants to join a 4-year Engineering Maintenance Technician apprenticeship at our Leeds and Knottingley plants. This full-time program combines hands-on maintenance with a structured training curriculum.

You will develop essential skills in equipment repair, problem solving, and documentation, supported by a recognised apprenticeship qualification through LumInate Education Group.

Qualifications

• Essential GCSE English and Maths at grade 4.
• Desirable BTEC Engineering qualification.
• Strong communication and IT skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Cold End equipment to maximise machine efficiency.
• Undertake development work to extend equipment usefulness.
• Identify and remedy faults to prevent recurrence.
• Record maintenance information using standard documentation.

Introduction

As we plan for the next 6 months, we're recruiting to strengthen our industrial teams and build skills across our plants. To support this, we are looking for highly motivated and proactive individuals to join our dynamic Engineering Teams at our Leeds and Knottingley Plants on a 4-year apprenticeship.

What You'll Do

• Department operations are conducted in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety Management System at all times.
• Maintain and repair Cold End equipment to a standard that will ensure maximum machine efficiency and performance.
• To undertake development work that extends the effective usefulness of Company equipment.
• To identify and take appropriate remedial action to rectify equipment faults and failures and then take further action to eliminate or minimise any reoccurrence.
• Ensure that all necessary maintenance information is recorded using the recognised documentation and procedures.
