Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

You'll be working within our MEICA and capital maintenance team. Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.

This role will be within our Southern Water contract, working out of our Falmer, Brighton depot.

What will you be doing?

This 13-month programme will develop your practical, technical and soft-skills, with Health & Safety at the heart of everything you do. On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will gain a Data Analyst Level 4 qualification and a permanent, long-term career with M Group Water!

  • You’ll be working alongside qualified and highly experienced members of staff, many of whom would have started their careers as an Apprentice just like you.
  • You’ll learn about our business and the industry regulations surrounding it.
  • We’ll teach you a variety of IT systems to support your role including Power BI
  • You’ll gathering data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy, and organizing it for analysis.
  • You’ll be taught to use statistical methods, programming languages, and data analysis tools to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • You’ll learn how to draw conclusions from data analysis and translating them into actionable insights.
  • You’ll learn how to creating charts, graphs, and other visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
  • We’ll teach you how to prepare business reports and presentations that summarize data analysis and insights for stakeholders.
  • You’ll use data to identify and solve business problems.
